Eléctrico is a historical feminist western drama, Josefina’s boldest play, and is her response to the current racial tensions and anti-immigrant sentiment in the U.S. Set in 1910, near the U.S.–Mexico border, the play follows a white-passing electrician tasked with restoring power to a town shaken by racial tensions.
